H guys, I've had my 2nd gen 11" macbook air for a while now and ive just noticed the USB port on the left side has gone faulty. It'll power anything plugged into it but not read it.

On further inspection it looks as though one of the pins has been pushed in which is why its not reading anything plugged in.

Im eligible for hardware repairs until the 9th of august after checking my service coverage.

Problem is i dont have any local apple stores to me to get this looked at.

Whats the turnaround time on anything being sent off for repair. The machine not an off the shelf model its custom i7 config.

Im based in the UK and use this for work so need a speedy turnaround.

Thanks

IF you were to take it into a store and IF they had the part in stock it would be more like 2-3 working days.

It may be worth seeing if they can set it up for you over the phone and then you can just take it in and drop it off when the part is in, then recollect if you are in a hurry.

If not, you have the longer turn around of waiting for UPS etc. to come to you.
