My mbp has two usb ports. They have both always worked. Now one does not work. I have tested them both and one definitely does not work. Is there a fix for this? Are there usb hubs and do they work well enough?

I have one I carry in my bag and it seem to work fine with my 2015 15" MacBook Pro. It's is just a generic 4 port hub I got off Amazon for a few dollars.

Try SMC reset. Worked for me when one of my USB ports was not functioning.
