Hey-

I'm looking at putting a few of my desktop internal HD's into enclosures for use with my Macbook Pro, but many of the USB external enclosures I see online don't have external power supplies. Will the macbook pro be able to supply the power needed?

Of course it'll run down the battery, so I'd use them plugged in. But I've had problems in the past with the macbook pro's firewire interface not being capable of supplying power to my external presonus firepod audio interface without a power supply.

thanks
chris
