Hey macrumors, we got a macbook air in school and we got a mouse for some reason too. But lately my mouse won't connect in the usb port, so i figured the usb or the mouse was broken, but when i tried the mouse on another friends computer it worked, and when i tried other hard drives, mouse etc. on my usb it worked!

Is that even possible?

You might want to rethink your Alias ;)

But to answer your question: EVERYTHING can break. Also a USB port. Just check it for physical damage or some dirt or something else inside, same with the cable on the mouse.

You clearly didn't read my post.

The usb is not broken, neither is the mouse.

He has an intelligent Alias :p and you clearly didnt read his post.

Through process of elimination you pretty much narrowed it down to a software/driver issue.
Does the mouse come with a driver?

Admittedly I read the first post without too much attention but I would still not exclude a hardware issue. If the mouse gets plugged in and out a lot the plug could show some wear which might not be the same in every USB port.
