I have an Early 2008 Mac Pro, and have trouble sometimes with the USB ports working after sleeping. Any device that was plugged in when the Mac went to sleep continue to work, but ports with nothing in them at the time of sleeping don't recognize anything. I have to restart to solve the problem, and it works like a charm every time after that (until sleeping again...).
I did some Googling and it seems that Mac users on a broad spectrum of hardware (including laptops) have had similar problems with Leopard, but had no problems while on Tiger, so the common belief is that this is a software issue with Leopard and its power management.
Have any other Early 2008 Mac Pro owners had this problem? I did a search for "USB" on the forum but didn't see anything, and the posts about sleeping all seemed to do with the reboot problem, which is a completely different problem.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas or advice.
