USB Scanner Not being recognized by iMac/Leopard...

Greetings...I have an (admittedly fringe model) Artec e+48u USB scanner that I would like to use with my iMac 24" Alu. When I plug it in, it is not being recognized by Leopard's Image Capture application.

I see that the scanner is receiving power...but no recognition by Leopard. The scanner worked fine with windows, so I know it works.

Is anything special I need to get a USB scanner recognized by the iMac w/Leopard? Any special drivers/setup required?

Any direction is appreciated.

If it isn't on the artec site or on

It'll be hard to get it to work, Mac OS X leopard still needs drivers.

Or try open source.
