USB Sound card with thunderbolt dock not working

I have a usb sound card that plugs via USB and then to the aux on stereo. It worked just as expected before the thunderbolt dock.

No, the usb card in the thunderbolt dock will output only to my mbp internal speakers and not my stereo. The usb card is checked as the output in the system prefs.

Any idea as to what is going on?

What Thunderbolt hub do you use?


I use the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Express HD and I have a ASUS Xonar U7 connected to it and I have no problem getting the sound out from RCA-connectors, it shows up as “Speakers” below the speaker-icon. But I also have to select Speaker on my sound-card.
