I am looking at Apple's knowledge article HT2801, "Troubleshooting the slot-loading SuperDrive", and seeing two conflicting bits of information about the USB Superdrive.

One entry states
You can use the SuperDrive while it's connected to the back of the Apple LED Cinema Display (24-inch, Late 2008), Apple LED Cinema Display (27-inch), or Apple Thunderbolt Display
while another entry states
The SuperDrive must be directly plugged into the computer's USB port, and cannot be used if connected to a USB hub

So, my question is, will it work reliably while plugged in to the back of an Apple Thunderbolt Display? Apologies if this has already been covered on the forums; my search did not yield any conclusive results.
