USB to parallel cable adapter?

I've got an old lexmark 3200 i'd like to connect to my MBP C2D. Problem is it's got a parallel connector only.
Anybody ever try a parallel to USB adaptor like this one:

Are you sure the printer accepts 25 Pin? Most only use the Centronics 36.

Make sure there are mac drivers before you go trying to figure out how to plug it in. The chances that the manufacturer developed drivers for a platform that has no native way to connect to their printer is pretty slim.

Are you sure that you're not looking for this.

Print drivers from here may be suitable.

That one would also work, but the one I pointed to would connect to the computer end of the printer's cable, making the whole cable longer.

I can also get drivers from openprinting.org for the 3200.

Have you priced printers lately? Why would you bother with putting money into a cable ?

Go get a <$100 HP printer, get connectivity, faster printing, better PQ and cheaper ink.
