usb tv tuner for - OS X AND Windows XP - ??

im looking for a usb tv tuner that i can use both on my mac laptop and my pc desktop. are there any out there that are compatible w/ both?

Elgato do a wide variaty of very good USB TV Tuners for macs check out their website and products. Definitely look into them, they are top quality devices they make, very good software, EyeTV comes with it as well.

Sorry just realized, Im not sure wether they have support for windows computers, but if they do, its a must buy.

Most of the Elgato's aren't PC-compatible. However, most of the Hauppauge tuners will work with Elgato's software (EyeTV) (meaning you can use them in either environment.)

Follow the link above and look for tuners that are compatible with EyeTV - some of those brands will be dual-platform.

I just got a new Hauppauge HD PVR that does HD using component video and it works great in OSX and my bootcamp Windows.

You will need EyeTV 3.1 to use it on a Mac though. It comes bundled with software for a PC only.
