Does anyone here use Windows 10 via Bootcamp and connect to an external monitor using the USB Type-C connection?
I have a MacBook (12" rMB early-2016, Core-m) that I use with Windows 10 via Boot Camp. Currently I connect to a regular 1080p monitor/tv with hdmi via a dongle that works fine. Now I'm looking to purchase a larger QHD (1440p) monitor and like the idea of a single cable solution.
Reading lots of user reviews and it seems MacOS works fine as does Windows 10 from a Windows PC but I can't find many reviews using Boot Camp on a Mac. I read one review (on Amazon I think) where it seems there was an issue with Windows recognising the monitor's native resolution when connected to a MacBook with USB Type-C connection.
FYI, I'm looking for a ~25" QHD monitor with USB Type-C that can also charge the MacBook. There are plenty of 27"+ options but my desk/room is too small so I think 24-25" would be perfect. I haven't found many so far:
- Philips 258B6QUEB/258B6QJEB (seems perfect but not a widely known brand compared to LG, Dell etc)
Thanks
