Brilliant Application Enhancer here- iChatUSB, it lets usb webcams function with iChat AV! I already have my webcam driver installed (macam) for my logitech express (v cheap webcam), i installed it and by my name was the little camera icon, and it just worked! its so easy, you do wonder why they didn't put support for usb webcams in the actual iChat AV app. Oh well.
