Hi,

I recently dropped my macbook pro 2010 (STUPID CASE!) Well it boots, but the wifi doesn't work (ethernet is fine).

I was thinking about taking it to the apple store... would they take it? my warranty is expired. [1 year passed]

or should i buy a usb wifi adapter???

please help:confused:

Thanks

i checked out ifixit and i found a guide to replace the airport module. is this my only option?

If it was me, since it was dropped I would open it up and make sure the wifi module is properly seated, maybe remove it and reinsert it. If that didn't work I'd start considering other options.

If there's a chance the Airport module merely shook loose when you dropped it I would open it up and see if you can reconnect it.
