My wireless doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know if there is a USB wireless adapter that works with the OS X 10.5.8?

I bought a Wireless N Nano USB Adapter DWA-131 from D-link. But the software only works for 10.7.

Please let me know, thank you!

Sometimes such sticks use wireless chips inside which are compatible but the manufacturer does not make a driver themselves, if you know which manufacturer made it you might be able to download software for it.

And, you didn't mention which Mac you have, some machines do have easy access to an Airport card like the older Powerbooks, or if it is an Airport card in newer MacBooks you could open it up and exchange it.

I might have found something for you, your has a RTL9182SU chip inside and you can download the drivers here:

Justperry,

You absolutely made my day!!!

I downloaded the driver and after a while the wireless adapter started! I'm so happy. Sorry for not giving the information needed. It's an Macbook Pro from early 2009, so it's very old...

Thank you so much for helping me out.

First of all, this thread is more than 3 years old, she might even not read it anymore, back then she was a newbie and I think she never came back, post count is still only 2.
If you read her post it clearly tells you that, YES, it is the D-Link DWA-131 so if you have that one my driver should work if you are on 10.5.8.

Cheers
