I'm looking for good price-quality ratio with support for 10.9.
My mbp sees so little need for mission critical reliability these days, that I think I'm not going to waste money for the most expensive Sonnet card.

After mbp's get TB2/TB3 and I've replaced the one I have now, I could still use the card with old windows laptop.

What brand/model/chip you would recommend?

Okay,
most of those post are over one year old, very little info about 10.9 and nobody mentions Startech.
But it's nice to know somebody got buffalo working...

That Gmyle looks interesting, haven's seen dual "internal" config before.
It might work... or not...

Thanks for the links!
Additional info is also welcome!

GMYLE cards work great for 17in MBP.
However, I recently sent my MBP in for logic board repair and boom
It cant run it anymore.
Were / are you using 10.9?

This is so depressing with these 3rd party cards, most work is some conditions, none works in every setup. Maybe I will have second thought with expensive Sonnet. That "internal dual-port" was sooo attractive!
(always inside card slot = never trying to find which bag pouch that card was in & copy from one usb3 media to other...)

Startech's support just told that they have no support for osx.
I just started a new thread about Gmyle.

I'm still looking any other options for most widely supported internal expresscard in less than $50.
Just one socket is also ok, since I already have a hub and expresscard maxes throughput to 2.5Gbps.

I started from 10.8, then upgraded to 10.9.
At that point the GMYLE card worked without any problem.
It all changed when they switched my logic board.

I edited and went through tons of kext files.
Including AppleKextExcludeList.kext which included a kext that excluded the
GMYLE driver. They rejected all the multibeast USB3 drivers.

So far I can make no move and pretty much gave up
