Use 800Mhz instead of 667Mhz

I am looking to buy more ram for my MacPro. It's the 2006 model that stocks 667Mhz ram. The 800Mhz ram is less expensive enough to make it worth buying over the 667Mhz.

I do not care if the 800Mhz runs at 667Mhz speeds. I just want it to work.

Will it work?
Will it work if i have some 667 and some 800 ram in use at once?

Is it possible to load Mac pro 1.1 2x2.66 with 32 GB of RAM? I heard that it's possible and I was looking for the answear, but I didn't find anything that seemed to be written by someone who knows the topic.
