Hello, all,
I have a 2010 cMP running a single 2.8Ghz xeon and 16GB RAM. On a local swap site, there is a 2008 dual 2.8Ghz xeon with 32GB RAM for sale for $350. Would I be able to put the 2008 tray into my 2010 to get dual processor support? I saw on the ad that the 2008 has DDR2 memory, and my 2010 has DDR3 memory, so I'm leaning toward a "no," but wanted to check here first.

LOL. I went ahead and looked at a photo of an early-2008 unit, and realized that they are like the 1,1/2,1 and don't have CPU trays! So disregard this n00b post.

2008 Mac Pros don’t have processor trays. the interior design is completely different than that of the 2009-2012.
