I like the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard--the one I use for my iMac as standard equipment. It works with my iPad. My question: is the typing experience on the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard (where the iPad seems to float) as good, better, not as good, not comparable to the experience on my Apple computer keyboard?

Will I be disappointed with the Pro Magic Keyboard in comparison with the typing experience on my standard desktop keyboard? What does the difference feel like?

Also: anything else I ought to consider? Is the Bluetooth less reliable, is the recharging on the keyboard a nuisance--both of these issues would seem to go away with the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard. But mostly, I am concerned about typing experience.

Thanks!

I have tried both. Typing experience are similar among them. Only the Bluetooth keyboard has full key (including function key) so it is more comfortable. The plus of MKB is its integrated with the case, use smaller room/space and the touchpad, also practicality to charge every time iPad was attached. On the other hand, the bluetooth keyboard is much lighter and its battery is very good (charge only once every 1-2 months - you can use iPad to charge the keyboard).
I would say, experience wise both are comparable. MKB wins on mobility, Bluetooth wins on price worthy.

The weight of the magic keyboard. It weighs more than the iPad itself. Something to consider if you plan on carrying the iPad around with the keyboard attached.

One thing to consider: if you are using your iPad while the Bluetooth Magic Keyboard is in the same room your iPad will behave accordingly, namely it will not show you the onscreen keyboard unless you swipe it up. I am using Bluetooth Magic Keyboard and Trackpad with iPad while I am on my desk, but when I am lying on a bed and watching shows and want to type some text I get this behaviour I described. Eventually I am turning off keyboard and trackpad while not using them to avoid this.

Since I don’t need trackpad and keyboard anywhere else - I prefer this over having tiny trackpad and keyboard without function keys (that I utilise a lot). If I needed to have them on the go every week - I would probably buy an iPad MK

One thing bluetooth magic keyboard couldn’t do is typing on the sofa / in car. You need a desk / flat surface to type rather than just small space for MK.

I've used the MK on my lap on the sofa, no problem.

I’m using the Apple Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with my alto 11. It’s great. You get the brightness and volume controls, which the Magic Keyboard case doesn’t have.

It’s also a much cheaper option and can be used with ALL future iPads. The Magic Keyboard case probably won’t work on future iPad if they are redesigned.

Still, I’m thinking of buying one or the Combo Touch since they both can be used better on the go.
