Use different Apple ID to upgrade to Mavericks?

Can I use a different Apple ID to update to Mavericks even though I used a different Apple ID when I first bought my MBA 2013.

I believe I used that different Apple ID to redeem iLife and purchased iWork. Is there anyway to transfer them when I update my MBA to Mavericks using my new Apple ID?

I have the same question also. I'm giving away my late 2011 cMBP to my sister. I have purchased the mountain lion on it with my apple id. Could she upgrade it to the mavericks with her apple ID?
