friend of my friend is trying to sell his iphone 4 for only $430 and I am thinking about buying it whether I will use it or not because it looks cheap and iP4 has nothing wrong with it. no scratches, but missing some accessaries such as headphones and charger.
But I do have plenty of extra chargers and headphones so its no big deal.
I am using 3GS right now.

would you keep your 3GS or sell 3GS then use iP4?

thanks

If I were in your shoes, I'd sell your 3GS and buy the iPhone 4, if for no other reason than because the price is right for the iPhone 4. You should be able to get at least $300 for your 3GS, without trying too hard. Then, for an extra $130, you get the iPhone 4.

One thing to be cautious of is to be certain that the iPhone 4 isn't stolen. I am always alarmed when I hear of nearly new phones missing accessories. Where are they??

thanks for the reply.
I am wary about the stolen items too, but he does have box and manuals. I think he's keeping his charger and headphones for himself.

Buy iphone 4g and sell your existing iphone
