Sorry if that seems a bit difficult to understand but here's what I'm trying to do. I have a Gmail account that has my university email attached to it where I can send, through Gmail, emails from my university email (an alternate address). However, on the iPhone stock mail I cannot send out through my university email with my Gmail account. I get email forwarded from my university to my Gmail account and when I respond I would like to use the mail app to send with my university email through Gmail. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could do this?

Thanks in advance.

Do you need the sent emails to be stored in Gmail's sent messages?

No that is not necessary. I use my university email to respond to employers and it would be nice if I could just respond with the stock mail app without having the use the gmail app to send out.

If it's at all possible to do, I would be ecstatic.

You should see is you can set up your university email account as an IMAP account on your phone, then set it to fetch manually when Mail is open.
