Use Itunes From external HDD

i moved all the files to the External HD I deleted the all files inside the libary & on my Mac HD i then Changed in Itunes Advanced Settings to Use /Volumes/My Book/Music/

then i went to Add to Library Selected all the Songs which works but i get 2 of Everything? both Working its like its added to libary twice...

i'm guessing there a search for New Songs in Library so it finds the songs in the folder. if so is this what i got to do?

/Volumes/My Book/Music/

Inside that
Avril
TLC
Fergie
Etc etc etc...

Do you have this option checked or unchecked?

unchecked as the Files are Already in the Library Folder just not in Itunes itself.

1. Delete your iTunes library
2. Create a new iTunes library
3. Make sure that option is unchecked
4. Add your music to the new library from the external HD

You should now have a library with one of each song, but all the music will reside on your external HD.

Deleted
Itunes Recreated the Library
Clicked Add to Library (checked that option was unchecked)
Added all my folders

Got wait like 45 Mins now... for it process it all

EDIT still 2 of everything :/
