Sorry if this has been asked up the wazoo.

If I get a new laptop (c'mon alu-slim!) around Leopard time, can I use the install disc that comes with it to upgrade to Leopard on my desktop?

Like others said, not only is it illegal but it is also physically impossible as those discs will only work on the purchased computer.

Yeah, I figured this one out the hard way. I assumed that once I wasn't using 10.4 anymore, I could (legally) give it to my girlfriend to install on her 10.2 iBook. As previously mentioned, it doesn't work. Now I'm having to backpedal on my promise to get her G3 running faster. Oh well, I've still got the RAM upgrade.
