Use Mac as Surveillance Camera?

Really don't know where to post this one...

We have a lot of Macs that we would like to turn into surveillance systems.

Basically, on motion, record or take a picture through the on board camera.

It can record to the local drive or a network drive. No need for cloud access.

Anyone have any experience doing this? Any good programs to consider?

If you really need a CCTV system for "security" purposes you should get an actual CCTV camera.

well we have iMac's all over the office and in all the rooms that we actually want to monitor.

they have cameras that are perfectly good and right where we need them.

so it seems like a good re-using of the available resources.
