Hi all,

I was wondering whether it is a good idea to leave my computer off or in sleep mode whilst charging and not actively use it? I have heard that using a computer or a smartphone whilst it is charging is not a good idea as this is harmful to the battery.

Can anyone shed any light on this matter?

Thank you!

There's no valid reason to avoid using your computer, tablet or cell phone while it is charging. None.

Where did you hear it's a bad idea to use it when on charge? Seems like it could have come down from one of those myths that gets thrown around, but it isn't rooted in fact or logic.

It's 2017, they've thought of every way you might use something these days and have accounted for it. Can you actually imagine if using it whilst charging damaged anything? It would very quickly become obvious and a huge issue.
