Hi,

I just bought the iMac 21, which have 10.6.6 software. I want to get all my docs/infos etc from my MBP 13 to iMac, for this I will use Migration Assistant, and my external hard drive.

My question is:
MBP has latest software 10.6.8
iMac has 10.6.6

Should I update iMac before I do Migration?

I read this
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4500

Where is said both Macs should have latest software, but I dont like to wait o download 1.2GB.

Let me know your thoughts experience.

Thanks

You're better off updating.

I seem to remember having a problem before when transferring (or trying to) to an older operating system. I don't think it allows you from what I recall.
