Use my mom's upgrade to get myself iPhone 3G S?

My mom is eligible for upgrade, but I'm not because I used my upgrade on the iPhone 3G. Now what if I upgrade my mom's line and put my sim card in the iPhone 3G S, would that work?

I would really love to know because I would love to pay $200 for the iPhone 3G S.

Yes it will work, although the guy at the store told me that it blows makes your line start over from scratch on your upgrade. I guess the computer sees the change and reads IPhone and automatically restarts your eligibility back to the 2 years. I assume you can call AT&T and ask them to change it after the initial set up, but that was the answer I got because I am doing the same thing with my wife's line.

Sure you can, but why would you? A pointless upgrade, especially for $200.

He could sell his 3G for more than $200 then get a new, faster phone, and money all at the same time, seems like a pretty good deal to me
