use of Old iphone (stolen) SIM no. with new Iphone

My iphone stolen in German one month back. I have two year contract with T mobile.i had 50 minute and 500 MB internet usage every month in the scheme. T mobile can give me same SIM no again.

My one friend is coming from USA and i asked him to bring an iphone from there. I want to know can i use same SIM number on new iphone. I want to buy new iphone from USA as it cheaper then Germany.

Can you suggest me that does it work if i buy it form USA.

Quality of responses not quantity of responses!

When you unlock your iPhone, you are allowing it to be used with no SIM or other SIM's like T-Mobile. The iPhone Dev Team are the ones who figure most of this stuff out. There website is here. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to post here.
