Hey all,
I just updated my Macbook 2,1 to Snow Leopard from Tiger through a retail DVD from the Apple store. I'm not planning to use my original retail install CD's and I have an ebay user (who apparently isn't very google savvy) that is asking me if will he be able to update his PowerBook G4 to OS X 10.4 using these CD's. From a quick look online I know that his PowerBook is compatible with 10.4. The question is, will my install CD's work for him? Are they bound only to the original Mac that they shipped with or will they be useable for upgrades on different Mac's? Thanks!

Tiger discs are also not universal. Those discs only contain Tiger for Intell Macs and would be unusable on a PowerPC based Powerbook.
