Are screen savers even needed with today's LCD screens?
I have my settings to shut the screen and the mbp down after 15min/10min (wall/battery) and I'm wondering what to do with the screen saver. I don't want it to come on too quickly in case I'm just reading off the screen...and I'm wondering if it will mess up the auto shut off on battery if I set it to 10min, which is when the screen and mbp is set to power down, i.e. will the screen saver trigger the mbp to stay on?
Of course, right now I have both the screen and mbp to power down at the same time, but I can set to power down the screen earlier (and leave the mbp on) sort of like a screen saver...?
What do you guys do?
