Use T-Mobile G1's Edge or 3G On mac

I'm wondering i would like to connect my t-mobile G1 (googlephone/android) as an internet connection to my mac... But it seems it isn't possible.

Can anyone help me out with this?

i think you have to root your phone to tether. i dont think you are likely to get much help here, better off heading over to a dedicated forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=446
