I have an unlocked iPhone 4 on T-Mobile (USA)
In class sometimes in the basement I don't get a signal, I have an app that uses a different number to text over WIFI, but is their a way through cydia, or the app store, to enable the stock texting app to use wifi to send texts, I am guessing not, but thought I would ask.

Its kind of a pain in the butt to switch back and forth.

SMS is a function of the control channel of a cellular network. Without it SMS will not function.
