Just asked Siri for the directions, and she guided me to where I wanted to go, no problem.

There’s me walking around Central London, asking people for directions, when all of the time the answer was right on my wrist.

Quite amazing, really. It vibrated, when it was time to turn, and it did what I needed it to do.

Any tips for a newbie? Or is it as simple as I’ve described?

I’ve gotten lost while out running and it’s also real handy to bring up a map of where you are on your watch. I don’t bring my iPhone any more because my cellular Apple Watch is all I need.
How long did you run for?

Must have been "into it"! :)

Love it for driving too. When setting the directions, the vibration on the wrist is nice in addition to voice directions to let me know it is time to turn.

Directions on the watch are great, especially if you want to be discreet. Directions on the phone are amazing, especially the augmented reality overlay. Both have their place.

Be aware … they can also be hard on the battery. Don’t let that stop you from using them, but do keep an eye on battery levels to make sure you don’t get stranded — at least until you get a good feel for how fast your own usage drains them. Or carry a charger, etc.
