Used iMacs? Where to get a deal on one?

where is the best place to buy one used?

My room mate may want one, but can't spend $1200....

they want cheap.... the lower the price the better.

Im guessing the local paper or craigslist is the best option? all the online sites like megamacs want big bucks for used...

What say you?

Kijiji, eBay and the Apple refurb stores are all good options.. not sure where else.

Might have some luck flipping through the MarketPlace forum on good ol' macrumors.com : )

def refurb store if not ebay maybe they will have some at your local apple store

As has been mentioned, Apple refurb is far and away your best option, with the other suggestions a distant second...
