I just bought a used ATT iPhone 6 plus via Amazon third party. The phone works fine. However, I noticed that the SIM that came with it was still active. I was able to make a test call with it. Should I be concerned? It doesn't seem right and I'm afraid that the original phone owner might report it lost/stolen.

Just throw away the sim and put yours in it and go about your business. Amazon has a very generous return policy so if something goes wrong in the next 60 days you can send it back for a full refund.

Not if it's from a third party via Amazon. You deal with the third party's return policy.

Well it seems obvious that one of two things happened:

1) The seller forgot to take the original SIM out before shipping.
2) The phone was lost/stolen and then someone found it and sold it.

If it were me I would want to know which one it is now before any problems pop up down the road. AT&T should be able to let you know.
