Used MBP suggestion for Media College course

I'm looking for a suggestion for a used MBP to buy for my sons college Media course. I'm hoping to try and obtain a good second hand unit with a budget of around GBP £600 if possible. The course involves a reasonable amount of photography and video, using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier.
Any thoughts or suggestion would be gratefully received.

I looked at ebay UK and at this price point there is the model:

15" 2014 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD with 2.5 or 2.8 CPU preferably
or
15" 2014 with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD with 2.2 or 2.5 CPU

great machine (that year 2014 did not has notable flaws like ghosting or keyboard problems), with a good geekbench score

What you can do is wait until your son get advice of his teacher on what to buy
