Used spirit to Jailbreak and now worried I didnt back up correctly

Hey Guys yesterday I used spirit to jailbreak my Iphone 3gs 3.1.3. I was told to back my phone up before doing the jailbreak and I did this by sync'ing through itunes as I taught this was the correct way to back up the phone??

Can someone tell me was this the correct way to back up my phone???
Or am I screwed if I have to restore the phone if anything goes wrong??

Yes, your phone should be backing up with the normal process when you sync it.

Ok so if my phone has issues and I need to restore it will restore to the lastfrim ware upgrade and have all my contacts, music photos etc???

iTunes saves your contacts, photos, apps, music, etc, but not your latest firmware.

That is done via IPSW files.
