Bestbuy had a quite nice deal on the series 2 aluminum version. I almost pick up one. However, I saw on local craigslist a series 2 stainless steel with Milanese loop for similar price (asking 230$). It's about 6 months old, looks pretty decent. Now I am torn between the new aluminum version v.s. the used SS. Anybody has any insight of how SS might be more durable?

thanks!

The 7000 series aluminum used on the sport model is very durable and light weight. It will hold well again scratches and minor accidents. The stainless is also very durable, but is significantly heavier. The stainless also scratches easy, but they can be removed with a polishing cloth, unlike the aluminum, where the scratches are permanent.

One thing to keep in mind, is the stainless model comes with a sapphire display, which is highly durable and has an excellent scratch resistance compared to the Ion –X glass.

thanks for the insight. The Sapphire display sounds really nice. I may go with the used SS one if it turns out to be in excellent shape as described.
