When I turned my iMac on yesterday, suddenly I saw all my family's user accounts were gone. The only account there was, is an account under the name of "Other...".

I Used the install-dvd to reset, the password of the account "Other...", now I think i'm on the root account, but the problem is that I don't know how to get my family's accounts back!

All the home folders are still there, our music, movies, documents....

Does anyone know what I should do, I am leaving tomorrow on vacation so I would like to have some movies on my iPod before I leave.

Thank You

And, if you don't, stop using the machine. There is a chance you could "undelete" the lost data, but the more you use the machine the less you will be able to retrieve.
