I just checked my /Volumes folder and noticed that I have two folders titled "username" and "username 1" (where "username" is my user account name). The folder "username" has permissions d--x--x--x+ and in admin group, whereas the folder "username 1" has permissions drwx------ and in staff group. My iDisk folder in /Volumes is a link to "username 1" and has permissions lrwxr-xr-x. The "username 1" folder shows all of my iDisk stuff, by "username" folder only has a cryptic dot file in it. Why do I have both of these in /Volumes? Is it safe to delete "username" folder? Thanks...
