So after last years hassle of returning 3. MBP 15" to the store and after waiting for almost a year to the 2018 models to arrive.
1. Minor backlight bleed and pink tint
2. backlight bleed
3. major pink-tint in the screen.

How is your 2018 MBP screens? Did they fix the pink-tint issue and also is the backlight bleed better this year?

Thanks!

I was just at the store and checked about 7 MBP 18s for this exact thing and I’m sorry to report that most if not all had screen nonuniformity. Many of them had pink hue left side, rest of the screen was yellower/greenish white.

This is standard for displays now-a-days, I don’t think there’s anything that can be done about it. It has always been and until tech evolves, will continue being a screen lottery. It’s just not worth going crazy over. I totally understand where you are coming from though and am a little OCD about it myself, but it’s not worth the hassle of exchanging 5 laptops and then giving up and waiting for next year refresh, to encounter the same thing.

I ended up ordering the 15 inch anyway. I’m sure I’ll go crazy in the beginning inspecting the screen..I’ll be disapppinted, but I’m hoping I will soon forget about it. Fingers crossed.

Really disappointing to hear that :(
