Would a 20" iMac G5 with a firewire EyeTV be able to display full screen TV?

Would the iMac look similar to a 20" LCD TV?

I need a new TV for family room. I thought if the imac can display TV well enought I could maybe justify an upgrade.

I've got a Power Mac G5 with a 20" AL ACD, and an EyeTV 400 and no the TV picture isn't quite full screen. The Apple displays are 16:10 ratio while wide screen TV is 16:9 so you end up with black bars on the top and bottom of the display. The EyeTV does have software to change the ratio from 16:9 to 14:9 which will give you full height but will cut some of the picture from the side. If you can put up with this though the EyeTV is an amazing bit of hardware. You may also want to look in to the EyeHome if you have a lot of multimedia on your Mac, I've got one of these and use it daily. It's fantastic!
