I recently bought the x203h Acer display which has been great so far. I was curious if anyone has managed to find an efficient way to have the monitor plugged into both a mb/mbp and a ps3. Not necessarily at the same time but I want to be able to switch between the two without having to unplug and replug everything all the time. I thought about maybe a kvm switch but that wouldn't work in the same manner. Anyone ever attempted this? Also does the ps3 have an optical port? I have some speakers I am using now that unfortunately are not usb.

Unless you want to connect your MB via VGA and switch inputs, you'll need some sort of DVI switch such as this. And you'll need an HDMI to DVI adapter for your PS3. Btw, what exactly do you mean that a kvm switch wouldn't work in the same manner?

As for optical out, the PS3 does have an optical out port.

That would work I suppose. The kvm switches i've always found have vga with ps2 outputs for mouse/keyboard however the one you posted would work. Thanks
