Hi

i was wondering

as the Thunderbolt to Ethernet seems to be working on the upcoming MBP and MBA

does it mean that the TB to Firewire adapters will work on the MBA too ?

Never heard of a TB to Firewire, do you mean Thunderbolt to express card?

They announced a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter, along with a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter:

I haven't seen the TB to FW adapter in the Apple Store Online yet though. It should work. I hope so. I have a lot of Firewire external drives and would prefer to using an adapter, rather than buying a brand new MBA just to get USB 3.0.

Maybe... ;)

Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet and Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapters were announced today at WWDC.

It looks like the Firewire model isn't in the store yet, but the Ethernet one is:

Compatibility
Mac
OS X v10.7.4 or later
MacBook Air with Thunderbolt
MacBook Pro with Retina display

I would expect the same from the Firewire adapter.
