just purchased an LG voyager to pair with my new MBP

(yeah, still longingly eyeing the iPhone but I'm stuck with Verizon for the foreseeable future)

now, is there a way to get online with the MBP using the cell phone if I have an unlimited data plan on the phone?

I used to use my xv6700 and tether via bluetooth, it worked pretty well. Just have to create a network connection in the network pref pane in system preferences. Not sure on the specifics for your phone, but give Google a shot, it's how I found everything I needed for my old phone.

I hope I can do this with my iPhone. That would be awsome.

Not gonna happen. The iPhone cannot be used as a modem (at least not with out some really serious hacking). Most other high-end phones with Bluetooth will work, though. It was a little tricky to set up the first time, but I got online with my T-Mobile Dash.
