I just fixed my mac, I would like to get the music on my ext. hardrive. I don't want to move it to my comp, just use the music from there.

I have the iTunes folder there already, so don't all I do is click 'change location' and select the iTunes folder on the ext hard? I don't want to press consolodate because I think that might copy everything.

thx for the help!

Just hold OPTION while you open iTunes and it should give you the choice of which library to open, including the one on your external drive. :)

you can also go into the preferences of itunes then click advanced and on the general tab you can change the location of the library.
