Hi all,

I have a MacBook, Late 2006, White, 2GB RAM, running OS X Lion. I was wondering whether I could use this as a second monitor for my iMac 27" Late 2012? If so, how would I go about the configuration and setup? I would also need it to function as an independent notebook as well, if I were to disconnect it (wired or wirelessly) and use it separately.

Thanks in advance.

Not very practical. You could get something like an elgato capture card, but they have their own issues.
The Macbooks do not have a video in port or video in capability.

Oh really? That's a shame. Thanks for the prompt reply though:)

And if you have to buy hardware like a video capture device, you might as well just buy a display.
