I have a 13" Macbook Air Late 2012 model and would like to use a spare power supply from my old 2008 Macbook 13" which is rated at 16.5 Volts at 60 Watts. I have the Magsafe adaptor but before I plug it in I would like to confirm that no harm will come to my beloved Air...

I ask because the Air's power supply is 14.85 volts.

Thanks for any help...

It shouldn't do any harm.

I believe that Apple makes a Magsafe to Magsafe 2 adapter. It's like $10.

The power cube automaticly reduces the amount of power depending on the system, macbook pro 85, 65 macbook pro 13", and 45 macbook air.
Does not matter.

Thanks guys, as I stated in the original post I already have the Magsafe adapter, just wasn't ready to just plug it in and try it out with some confirmation as to how safe it would be...
