Using a MBP as wireless router doesn't work

Hello ,

i am in a hotel,using an ethernet internet connection going into my MacBook Pro.

I have been trying to share my internet connection through Airport, in order to use my iphone to browse, but it seems that it's working for the first 2 seconds(!!!) i open the connection , and then it stops.

Does anybody know if there are particular settings i need to specify for the iphone to utilize the internet connection?
It sees and connects to the wireless network i create just fine, but it won't browse.
