Using A Mic Causes Extreme Lag

Hi!

I'm running the latest dev beta of Mojave and I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue too.

Whenever I allow an application to use the microphone, the CPU usage will jump up to 100% and the fans start spinning at max speed. The system then becomes so slow making it unusable.

If I close the app, it goes back to normal.

Anyone else having this problem?
